Join us January 31 at 4 PM for a virtual event to celebrate winter birds in our region. Show off your photos and enjoy others’

Part One: Presentation on Winter Birds

Join us for a short presentation by Dale Kristensen. Dale is a field naturalist living in the Sydenham area and recently retired, after 32 years, from the Queen’s University Biology Department. He’s active in the local Christmas Bird Counts.

Part Two: Photo Sharing Session:
Please send one or two photographs of birds you have seen in this region this winter to passport@landconservancykfla.org. Who’s been at your feeder? What birds have you seen when you were out and about?

We’ll share your photos for everyone to see after Dale’s presentation, and you can talk about your sightings. We will not post your photographs on social media without your permission. This event is for all levels of photographers and birders. And if you don’t wish to send in photos, you are welcome to join on Zoom to learn more about local birds and enjoy others’ photographs. Register here.

Thank you to our event sponsor, Urban Nature Store. Participants in the video call will be entered in a draw to win one of two $50 gift certificates generously donated by Urban Nature Store. Participants who also submit a photo to share will receive a bonus entry in the draw!
